The kids went off to school all smiles. They came home all smiles. What more could I ask for………. Maybe all the contact information and getting to know your child paper work I had to fill out. Of course, it needed to be turned in by today for that “Belcher Buck”. Let’s talk about the “getting to know your child” form. You think you really know your child until you have to write it down for someone else to read. I don’t want to brag about my wonderful children the second day of school. So I have to be really careful what I write. So I put the paper down and pick it up several times before I answer all those questions. I have to remind myself several times this is about my child NOT me. I also asked my child what they would say if someone asked them what their favorite TV show was. I don’t want to send the form back to the teacher with the wrong answers. My answer would have been they don’t watch TV. LOL I’m hoping they say some cute Disney show, not Big Brother 10, Wipe Out , Trading Spouses and Super Nanny. Should they be in bed when these shows come on? The other question I liked was what concerns you have about your child. It’s only the first day of school. Ask me next week when I can’t get them up in the morning or after I see how much homework they have. HA HA I read the paper over several times (remember there is no spell check or grammar check and I AM giving this form to my child’s teacher). I feel pretty good about all the forms. As I’m putting them back in their folders I realize I have filled out the wrong child’s information sheet.
